Arif Billah Hazrat Moulana Shah Jaleel Ahmad Akhoon Sahab Damat Barkatuhum Alia

Hadrat Shaykh al-Hadith Maulana Shah Jalil Ahmad Akhun damat barakatuhum hails from a noble family. In 1932, his respected father, Hadrat Maulana Niyaz Muhammad Khutani Turkistani Sahib rahimahullah emigrated from Hotan, a town in the Xingjian province of China, to India with the aim of acquiring knowledge of Islam. After spending ten years at Dar al-'Ulum Deoband he went to the desert like region of Bahawal Nagar on the instruction of his teachers, Hadrat Maulānā Muhammad Idris Khandhelwi Sahib rahimahullah, Hadrat Shaykh al Islam Maulana Sayyid Husayn Ahmad Madani rahimahullah and Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Badr-e-Alam Mirathi Madani rahimahullah. He spent fifty years rendering religious services in that area until he passed away in 1992. He left behind great sources of perpetual reward (sadaqah järiyah) for himself in the form of the Islamic learning centre Jami' ul-'Uloom, 'Eidgāh, Bahawal Nagar-, students and pious offspring. Hadrat Shaykh has compiled the biography of his respected father in a book titled "Mushk-e-Khutan" which rekindles the iman of those who read it.

The honourable mother of Hadrat Shaykh was related to a family from Saharanpur. This family had a strong affiliation with Khanqah Rahimiyyah, Raipur. The maternal grantfather of Hadrat Shaykh, Hadrat Qari Abul Hassan Saharanpuri rahimahullah was the special attendant of Hadrat Maulana Shah ‘Abd ur Rahim Raipuri and on Hadrat Raipuri’s instructions, he spent forty years serving the noble Quran in a town close to Bahawalnagar where he passed away in the year 1968. Hadrat Shaykh passed his exams at the Government Comprehensive High School in Bahawalnagar with excellent results and thereafter, through divine inspiration, he bid farewell to his worldly studies and enrolled in Jamiah Islamia Binori Town, Karachi. He graduated in 1986 after spending eight years acquiring religious knowledge and practice. In 1987 he commenced teaching and administrating at Jamia Ul Uloom Eidgah Bahawalnagar and taught almost every subject in the syllabus for many years. In 1992 he was given the post of Shaykh al Hadith and has been teaching Bukhari Sharif and Tirmidhi Sharif ever since.In 1980 he began attending the gatherings of Hadrat Maulana Shah Hakim Muhammad Akhtar Sahib rahimahullah and was present for nearly all the Friday programmes. Hadrat Wala rahimahullah alwas paid special attention and showed kindness to Hadrat Shaykh. Hadrat Wala rahimahullah mentioned on numerous occasions, “Hadrat Shaykh has been in my company from a long time and has been coming to me since his childhood.” He also said, “Maulana is my photo state copy.” Once when Hadrat Shaykh delivered a lecture in the presence of Hadrat Wala rahimahullah at Khanqah Imdadiyyah Ashrafiyyah, Gulshan Iqbal, Karachi, Hadrat Wala rahimahullah was pleased and said, “Previously Maulana was my Photostat copy. Now he has become exactly like me. This was a reference to nisbat-e-ittihadi (unity in affiliation).In 1996 Hadrat Wala rahimahullah granted Hadrat Shaykh Khilafat and instructed him to commence the Khanqah work in Bahawalnagar. Hadrat wala rahimahullah personally went from Karachi to Bahawalnagar in 1997 and laid the foundation of Khanqah Ashrafia Akhtaria where presently, al-humdulillah, spiritual reformation and purification is taking place on a large scale. Hadrat Wala rahimahullah mentioned many times, our agency is based in Bahawalnagar and there you will acquire our wealth.”

Thanks to the compassion and love of Hazrat Wala rahimahullah and the relationship, Hadrat Shaykh had the privilege of attending the funeral three days in advance and was present with Hazrat Wala rahimahullah at the time of his death.

O happiness is not by force of arms, but by the Gifted from God

         It is through the special attention and the blessing of duaa of Hadrat Wala rahimahullah that Allah taala is using Hadrat Shaykh for the work of spiritual purification, spiritual reformation and developing a deep love for Allah taala on an international level. Under the supervision of Khanqah Ashrafia Akhtariya in Bahawalnagar a vast amount of religious work is taking place in the form of programs, daily acts of devotion, printing of lectures, discourses, and religious literature, as well as providing lectures and correspondence pertaining to spiritual reformation via the internet. Hadrat Shaykh has established Khanqah Jaleeliyyah in Multan and Khanqahs in Britain, Australia, Karachi, Queeta and other places using the name Dar ul Islah. Where religious work is taking place on a permanent level. May Allah taala protect these Khanqahs from all forms of evil eyes, evils and trials. May he bless Hadrat Shaykh with a long life with good health and ease and grant him acceptance in his religious services. May Allah taala bless the biological and spiritual children of Hadrat Shaykh with his friendship. Ameen.
